The British Chambers of Commerce comprise a national network of quality-accredited Chambers of Commerce, all uniquely positioned at the heart of every business community in the UK and representing more than 100,000 businesses of all sizes in all sectors of the economy - equivalent to four million jobs.

The  Chamber campaigns nationally on behalf of the Accredited Chamber members, exerting powerful influence on government to create a more favourable business environment.

The BCC represents the views and priorities as reflected across the Chamber Network and undertakes proactive pieces of research and policy development and responds to Government consultation.

They handle an exacting schedule of government consultation, business surveys, policy campaigns and ministerial and departmental lobbying, raising the profile in government and in the media of those issues central to the interests of Chambers and their business communities.

Throughout the year they conduct several major surveys on key business issues, compile well respected reports including the BCC’s Budget Submission and the Quarterly Economic Survey, and conduct major new projects.

Proteus Software has been a member of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce since 1997 and has worked closely with the Chamber on several projects.
