Jacobs Fruitfield goes live!
The Jacobs Fruitfield Group have gone live with the Proteus Software warehouse management solution. The PROTEUS® WMS solution has been implemented at the group's Head Quarters in Tallaght, Dublin.
The Jacob Fruitfield Food Group was created in August 2004 as a result of the amalgamation of Fruitfield Foods - which had been bought out from Nestle in 2002, and Irish Biscuits - purchased from Groupe Danone in 2004.
The Group holds an enviable product portfolio of famous Irish brands and market leaders. Brands include such famous names as Chef, Fruitfield, Old Time Irish, Silvermints, Jacob’s Kimberley, Mikado, Fig Rolls, Goldgrain, Bolands, Liga, Bewley’s and Scots Clan.
The PROTEUS® Warehouse Management Solution will enhance the groups business processes, bringing operational effectiveness and efficiency to the supply chain. The software is rules based and exception reporting is a key feature, utilising the latest technology tools. This includes reporting any discrepencies in stock levels, delivery shortfalls, equipment downtime for example, in the form of a SMS text message directly to a mobile phone.
