Eaton Electrical (Previously Cooper Lighting & Safety) are hosting the Logistics Leaders Network's Supply Chain Strategy Group meeting entitlted 2020: A Vision of Logistics on 25 February 2015 at their ‘smart manufacturing plant’ in Doncaster and supported by Sheffield City Region’s Logistics Hub and Business Doncaster who are promoting the area as a major geographical logistics hub. The event is part of Doncaster Business Month.
There will be plenty of opportunities to network with the 50 plus delegates at 2020: A Vision for Logistics over coffee, at the networking and lunch and during the site visit round Eaton state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. Not only will delegates be able to hear about the importance of logistics to the Eaton global sales drive but also to see its range of effective energy saving solutions for large and small scale warehouses in the UK.
The day starts at 9.15 with registration followed by 7 speakers including a Q& A session with a coffee break and lunch. After the presentations and conclusions including any further questions you may have, there will be a tour of the Eaton factory, finishing at 14.30 after the factory visit.
David Gray, CEO Proteus Software, will be speaking at the event on the importance of having the ability to be flexible, in order to meet the business challenges of supplying to today's market, in his presentation entitled: The Elastic Warehouse. David will explain how usitlising the right technology tools aids warehouse operations to cope with the demands and ever increasing pressures faced by business on a daily basis.
