Proteus and TouchStar join forces at Multimodal 2013

Leading Warehouse Management Systems provider Proteus Software and mobile computing solutions provider TouchStar Technologies will be jointly exhibiting at Multimodal 2013. Their aims are to provide a one stop shop for the latest technology that gives their clients complete control over their warehouse and supply chain processes. TouchStar Technologies, (formerly known as Belgravium Ltd) have been a long term partner of Proteus Software. The two companies have a proven track record of jointly providing state of the art technology solutions (hardware –TouchStar, and WMS software- Proteus) to the warehouse and logistics industry, successfully implementing the solution to joint clients in the manufacturing and wholesale market sectors such as lighting suppliers, kitchens suppliers and more. Both companies have grown consistently in revenue terms and can list many blue chip organisations amongst their client bases.

The two companies joined forces to promote their combined solution, and have recently joined together to become the founders members of the Logistics Technology Alliance. The Logistics Technology Alliance (LTA) has been formed to provide the perfect marriage of logistics hardware and software and a flexible, end-to-end total systems solution. The Alliance offers operations such as 3PLs, transport companies, shippers and retailers a one stop shop for a total logistics system solution. The group combines state-of-the art supply chain software such as Transport Management Systems, Warehouse Management System, ERP, Asset Tracking etc. linked to mobile computing, in-cab technology and wireless data capture systems.

All software is offered in either ‘packaged’ or ‘SaaS’ (Software as a Service) form. All mobile hardware has been thoroughly tested, from both a laboratory and field perspective, to ensure certified integration with the software offerings of Alliance members. Real-time data capture technology can be added, to great effect, at multiple operational points within a supply chain. As a prime example, a diagram illustrating the integration and data flow between warehouse management and transport management systems can be viewed on the Alliance web .

Commenting on the Logistics Technology Alliance Mike Turner, Group Marketing Manager for (Alliance Founder Member) TouchStar Technologies, said: “This is an exciting development for logistics operations seeking technology. Through the Logistics Technology Alliance each member company can act as prime contractor to offer its customers an end-to-end logistics IT solution. This means new and existing customers will enjoy easy access to other technologies required for their operations, thus saving much time and effort. TouchStar is proud to be partnering with companies that share a high service level ethos, which will ensure that we can deliver customer oriented solutions.”

Linda Rodway, Market Development Manager, (Alliance Founder Member) Proteus Software echoed this viewpoint: “Our prospective clients will benefit from a total systems solution that offers value for money with less overall implementation time because all of the solution’s elements will interface with ease. Clients gain further advantage from having a single point of contact, empowering them because of the members’ collective knowledge and years of experience in providing systems for any industry sector.”
