This year the UKWA's annual conference Warehousing Futures 2012 is being held at the prestigious St Johns Hotel in Solihull on 29th and 30th October. The theme of this year's conference is Success in Challenging Times showcasing winning warehouse strategies, best practice and innovation.
The programme will consist of a networking dinner followed by a one-day conference, and has been specifically designed to enable smaller operators to network with larger operators, potential customers and major suppliers to share best practice, learn about the latest warehousing innovations and see how customers are implementing winning warehousing strategies through innovative cost effective solutions.
Amongst the speakers will be Yeo Valley, John Lewis, Jaguar Land Rover, Ideal Standard and leading own brand food distributor Bakkevor. Warehousing Futures 2012 is aimed at warehouse owners and their managers, as well as logistics and operations directors of companies that operate their own warehouse or distribution centre facilities.
“Warehousing Futures 2012 will showcase winning warehousing strategies, best practice and innovation. The event is an opportunity to relay positive news against a background of difficult UK, Continental European and Global marketplaces,” says Roger Williams, chief executive officer of UKWA.
He adds: “Despite the economic situation, there are a large number of successes to report on and Warehousing Futures will give a platform for the MD's and CEO's of major logistics service specialists, retailers and manufacturers to present their successes to an audience of logistics professionals.”
There is a small exhibition running alongside the conference, where Proteus will be exhibiting our innovative Cloud WMS solution. Linda Rodway, Market Development Manager said “This will be our fifth year exhibiting at this very informative event. It is a thoroughly enjoyable conference and is worth attending for the networking opportunities alone.”
