Proteus extends their relationship with client PRL Group
Leading 3PL provider PRL Group is extending their use of the Proteus WMS due to having recently won a contract to provide 3PL services to worldwide Groupe Danone. PRL will be using the Voice Picking module of the system, enabling them to operate in an even more accurate and cost effective manner. Currently their KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are running at 98.89%, however they can expect an increase due to further efficiency gains that using a voice system will give them.
The PRL Group provides supply chain solutions covering frozen, chilled and ambient logistics, warehousing and distribution for a wide range of Irish and multinational companies. Technology is a key factor to their operation and it is vital that the system they use can handle the ever increasing demands of the supply chain in today’s pressurised economic environment.
The worldwide Groupe Danone has two businesses in the UK – Danone UK Ltd and Danone Waters UK & Ireland. Danone UK Ltd is the dairy business responsible for Britain’s best-selling probiotic drink Actimel. Its portfolio also includes Activia and Shape Lasting Satisfaction yogurts. Danone Waters UK & Ireland is responsible for Evian – the world’s best-selling mineral water brand. Its portfolio also includes Badoit and the Volvic range, which includes Touch of Fruit and Revive.
The PRL GROUP has been operational since 1985. An amalgamation of four companies, Packaging Resources, Roadload, Brannigans Warehousing and Roscastle Logistics led to the formation of the group.
