We are delighted to announce that we have been nominated for the Institute of Transport Management’s “Warehouse Centric Company of the Year” award.  The nomination is due to our understanding of how a supply chain operates, the business processes involved, and the technology available, and what needs to be put in place in order to achieve perfect order fulfilment.  

The award ceremony will be held at the London’s Hilton on Park Lane in the New Year.

I am happy to be in a position to confirm that Proteus has been short-listed for the “Warehouse Centric Company of the Year 2007” award by the Institute of Transport Management. Below I will give you a brief history of our accreditation programme and the research criteria being utilised for this prestigious award.

Since its inception in 1977 the Institute has been disseminating information to its membership in the U.K regarding developments in policies and services pertaining to all aspects of the transportation industry.  One of our core activities is to recognise excellence in the industry and following extensive research and accreditation programmes, recommend specific companies to our membership and affiliated institutes nationwide.

The executive committee following requests from our membership undertook to research in depth the warehousing management solutions market in order to ascertain which companies were providing the most comprehensive service to industry. Following the research programme we are now in a position to approach our members with our initial findings.

At the beginning of the programme we identified a number of areas on which to judge each companies performance.

Ø        Quality of management

Having assessed the above criteria, it has become apparent that Proteus is clearly a market leader and worthy of this nomination for accreditation.
