Proteus Van Sales solution controls and records any sales that occur "off the back of the van.".  Every delivery vehicle is equipped with a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) that links to the Proteus^â system.  Each vehicle is treated like a movable “mini-warehouse”.  As goods are sold “off the van” the software is updated via the PDA.  On return to the warehouse the PDA is connected to the main Proteus WMS and the system is automatically updated with the recorded information. 

This produces a simultaneous update across the reporting tools that are built in to the software, giving true visibility of stock levels, as well as producing an audit trail so that track and trace of stock is available.

As a result, order processing, invoicing and purchase order control becomes an automatic process.   Stock taking is far easier as there is full track and trace of stock through the use barcodes that are consistently scanned throughout the product journey from storage through to deliver to the end user.
