Sysland KFT
Sysland Information Technology and Consulting Ltd. was founded in 1989. The aim of the founders was to improve the efficiency of the software development activity of KSH SZÜV by managing it on a business basis, and also represented the multinational company, UNISYS in Hungary. The company played significant role in the appearance of UNISYS Co. in Hungary. Sysland acquired numerous customers for UNISYS between 1991 and 1993. In 1993 the company won the OTP tender, with a value of 57 million USD. Among other reasons, this success made it necessary to establish an independent company. In 1993 UNISYS Hungary Ltd. was founded with the majority ownership of SYSLAND. At the end of 1995, SYSLAND started to concentrate on its PROTEUS business line. SYSLAND has worked together with PROTEUS Ltd since 1991, distributes and nationalizes its integrated information system. Being the sole Hungarian Distributor of PROTEUS, Sysland have the right to sell the system in Hungary and in the surrounding countries. In 1997 SYSLAND won the tender of BERVA Rt., and next year the company was charged with the development and implementation of the information system of Láng Kft. This activity made a unique reference for Proteus in the Automotive Vehicle Parts market in Europe. Endre Parlagi, Managing Director has been working in the Hungarian IT profession for 30 years. He is an economist, NJSZT expert in information system planning. He worked for KSH SZÜV from 1969 to 1989 as a programmer and system planner, later as Head of Department. He has gained experience in the installation of different technologies, and also in project management. He has been the Managing Director of SYSLAND since its establishment, in the meantime he was the Deputy General Director of UNISYS Hungary for a couple of years. SYSLAND work with a stable, highly educated staff, concentrating its professional knowledge on UNIX, UNIXWARE, Informix and PROGRESS technologies.
